Crappie are on the banks, Started showing up Saturday.
We had a lot of fish come in that were caught in 1 to
3ft of water. All fish were caught in the creeks on the
spawning banks. Look for the pockets that are wind
protected and fish with a bobber set 12 inches deep.
Minnows under the bobbers works the best. Remember keep
on the move and cover water the fish are just starting
so we have some good weeks coming.
Bass fishing is good. Fish the flat pockets in 2 to 4ft
of water using a spinner bait or a jig and frog. Again,
pockets with no wind is the best.
Catfish are being caught on the flats in 10 ft of water
fishing 5 ft deep. The bait of choice is cut bait. We
are seeing several bluecats come in. Most are being
caught on jugs and trotlines.

Big Crappie went to Kevin Rogers and Caitlin Young 2.50

and see you next time . april 19th is our next tourn.
Crappie fishing is good several fish coming in and some
big ones. The crappie are in the mouth of the creeks in
1ft of water and more fishing 9 ft deep. You can catch
them on live bait or jigs in the Blk/Char in color. Look
for the brushy trees and fish in the middle of them. We
are also catching them spider rigging lots of fun.
Bass fishing is good with some heavy weights coming in.
The bass are in the warmest water they can find look for
shallow pockets with no wind the calmer the better. Fish a
spinner bait or a jig and frog. Most bass are in 2ft to 5
ft of water.
Catfish are being caught on the flats in 20ft of water
fishing 10 ft deep.Cut bait is the bait of choice. Several
blues and white cats being caught.

Crappie fishing is good we have
seen several nice fish come in. I fished several days this
week and caught limits every time. The key to catching them
was 10ft to 15ft of water and fishing 9 to 12 ft deep .Fish
the mouth of the creeks to about 1/2 way back. The bait of
choice was blk/char in the 1/8th oz head. Keep on the move and
try several creeks some are holding more than others.
Bass No Report
Catfish are being caught in the
main river channel. Fish in 20 ft of water and more fishing 15
ft deep. Fresh cut shad is the bait of choice . Juglines are
the best.
